LouiseArt..SUNFLOWERS EXPERIMENT3
Lots of things going on here....not only in this painting but....My computer crashed...so I am learning all about my new one and also how to get a picture from my scanner to here with a new photo editing program...my brain just isn't as quick as it used to be about all this techie stuff!!!!!
I have some new ART BOOKS....and will be experimenting a lot....:) This is my first try at this technique, and I think it can be done so much better and way more exciting...:)...soon I hope.
This painting is partly done with cheesecloth for the background...my first try. but I will do better soon, now that I have learned some tricks. The book calls for 'gauze'...but I thought the cheesecloth would work...I went ahead and posted this even though I have learned so much about what to do and not to do with the cheesecloth...I can do much better next time...I hope.
Here is How I did this: I masked off the drawing of the sunflowers....then I wet the whole thing and spread cheesecloth over it..then used a lot of paint on the cheesecloth...all sorts of colors and designs...then let it dry COMPLETELY....peeled off the cheesecloth and rubbed off the masque...and painted the sunflowers. Then did some spattering too...:)
This is from Rose Edin's book "Color Harmonies...Paint WatercolorsFilled With Light''...I met Rose years ago in Modesto, Calif. where I lived, when she did a weekend class at the Central California Art League. She is one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet, and a fantastic artist!
I highly recommend her book!
