Although it DID NOT photograph well, I am very pleased with it! The white areas are all reflections...not blemishes.
So simple to do.....
It is a clear glass salad plate(1.50 at Walmart), with a piece of fabric ModPodged to the back with 3 coats of thin ModPodge, dried between each coat, and then the back is sprayed with 2 coats of clear spray, dried between each coat. (You must cut the fabric with an extra inch margin and fold it over the edge pushing out any creases when Modpodging...and smooth out any bubbles....after it dries shave the edge pulling razor blade toward you, so that fabric comes right up to the edge but not over it. Also, the plate must have a flat base, meaning the edges can rise but the mid bottom must be flat. You want the right side of the fabric against the back bottom of the plate, so that when you turn the plate over the right side shows through.

I think it will be a nice hostess gift with cookies, or fudge, tied with clear plastic
cellophane and a Red bow...for the holidays...:)

Additional instructions..
You modge it to stick up to the edge of the rim and even a bit over it....even though you'll cut it AT the rim...by sticking it to the top of the rim about an 8th to a quarter inch, it will assure you of a solid seal after you trim it. (You should have abut an inch overhang)...Be sure and dry thoroughly between the 3 thin coats of MP....use hair dryer...then I used 2 coats of clear spray...drying between. I used a fairly stiff brush brushing it on....and my hands...messy but it washes and peels off your hands...:)
Use a very sharp knife or razor blade.....hold the plate right side up and pull the blade toward you and to the right to trim edge. Mine didn't fray...but if it does you could MP & spray more maybe. Don't think you'll need to though.
Also when completely dry I would wait to wash it a day or so..but it is washable...but not dishwasher proof.
Good luck....I am going to make some more too...:)

IMPORTANT NOTE IF YOU PLAN TO MAKE THESE!

THE FIRST THIN COAT OF MODGE PODGE GOES ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FABRIC ONLY... AND THEN THE WET FABRIC IS APPLIED TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE PLATE WITH THE RIGHT SIDE OF FABRIC GOING AGAINST THE PLATE SO THAT WHEN IT IS DONE YOU ARE LOOKING THROUGH THE GLASS AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FABRIC...:) aFTER IT IS SMOOTHED AND STRETCHED OVER THE WHOLE PLATE AND OVER THE EDGES....AND DRIED COMPLETELY...THEN THE SECOND MODPODGE IS APPLIED TO THE FABRIC/BOTTOM OF THE PLATE...DRIED THOROUGHLY AND THEN THE 3RD COAT APPLIED. BE SURE TO GET THE MP ALL THE WAY TO THE EDGES.
